Welcome to the Center for Leadership Development!

Developing emerging leaders and retaining high performers is a priority at profit and non profit organizations. Advanced technology, globalization, and constant change have made the job of leading our organizations more demanding, complex, and exciting! We all want bridge builders who understand connections between strategy execution, operational excellence, and change management.

The IPFW Center for Leadership Development (CLD) helps organizational leaders learn skills to manage complexity, ambiguity and change. The CLD helps seasoned and emerging leaders learn to inspire trust, communicate shared vision and build effective relationships and organizational strategies.

The CLD is uniquely qualified to assist in leadership development at the university and in the greater Fort Wayne community. Experts who research and teach leadership and team development, human resources and strategy (along with their graduate students and selected undergraduates) have years of experience to share. They can help provide answers to research questions, conduct surveys or trainings and even assist in more customized program development.

We hope you will contact us if you seek answers to questions on one or more of these five leadership themes:

This IPFW Center of Excellence crosses multiple disciplines and is available to you in a variety of ways — as academic research, as training opportunities, and as customized programs. Please take a look around our website for more information. We hope you will gain insight or start you on the road to valuable questions that can help you achieve your goals within your own organization today.
