• • Idea.  The basic idea hasn't changed since we started local Championships in 2007.  We want to bring together, in a series of common events, the various pockets of Magic players in the greater Fort Wayne area.  This is why we will have a roaming series of tournaments, where each tournament is hosted by another small Magic community in our area.  Also, each tournament will feature another format.
  • Formats.  This time around we will play stuff you can't usually play at your local FNM:  Rochester Draft, 2HG Sealed, Grand Melee, Extended, Block Constructed, and, as the grand finale, a Cube Draft for the T16 finishers.
  • Schedule.  We will meet (roughly) every second Saturday from January through May;  see below for a detailed listing.
  • Champions.  We will have a champion in each format we play; then, taking all standings together, we will cap the "Summit City Spring Champion."
  • Prizes.  Yes, we will have prizes, but having fun and getting together in a series of social events take priority.   This allows us also to keep admission low.
  • Pre-registration.  In order to secure your a slot and to make on-site registration faster, I strongly recommend that you sign up in advance by sending me an email (fill in the missing "@"); please, don't forget to include your real name and your DCI number.

         Number of rounds and cut to Top X according to turn-out.

• • Format.  2HG Sealed Deck;  DCI-sanctioned;  16k, Competitive REL.
         Swiss rounds according to turn-out (one game matches, though, not two out of three; see here for details).

  • Additional Price.  The winner receives the original (and highly coveted) "Grand Melee" play mat, given out at the first WotC Grand Melee during GenCon 2007.

         Draft and three rounds of Swiss; then cut to the T8, re-draft, and single elim.

         We meet on the ground floor of Walb Union (PizzaHut and TacoBell logos on the outside show you where we meet).
