Suppose you could travel back in time and talk to yourself at the start of the semester. What advice would you tell you? Alternatively, If you had a buddy who was going to take this course next semester, what advice would you give them from Day 1 so that they are successful?
If I could go back in time to the beginning of the semester, I would tell myself to a good score on the prerequisite skills skills since that is one that can't be dropped.
If I had some advice to tell myself in the past, it would be to continue what you are doing. I've always put my all into everything, but the end of the semester I have felt burnt out with classes, so I would tell myself to keep pushing on with this class.
If I had to go back in time to tell myself something, it would be to stop procrastinating and study in short variables of time throughout the week rather than having to sit and do that in 1 big period of time.
If could go back in time, I would tell myself to get a better sleep schedule and not to leave all my homework for the last minute
I would go back in time and tell myself that the key to this class is simply doing the homework because if you understand the homework then you will understand the quizzes/tests. Also, if my buddy was going to take this test, I would tell him that he really needs to do well on the tests because they are minimally given but reflect a large portion of your grade. That goes hand in hand with completion of the homework however.
If i could go back in time I would have spent more time reading the class info and worksheets and textbook information for each subject prior to coming to class. I think that would’ve helped me to better understand the lectures, as well as have the opportunity to ask the professor questions if I didn’t quite understand the subject. Also I would’ve spent more time reviewing the deadlines so I could’ve added assignments and coursework into my planner so that I would’ve been more aware of when homework / test where due. Allowing me to spend less time doing them last minute.
If I could go back in time I would tell myself to keep moving forward and not wait at the last minute to do everything.
If I could go back to the start of the semester and give myself advice, I would tell myself to give more time for school work, and not wait until the last minute. Other than that I have been on top of things as much as I can because life is gets in the way sometimes but just have to keep moving forward.
If I could travel back in time, I would tell myself to relax and to do things before the due date because most of the time I would rush to do homework assignments the day it was due and I wouldn't do so great. I would also tell myself to ask more questions.
Going back in time, I would tell myself that I should keep redoing the prerequisite homework until I had a perfect score. I would also advise myself to use the flashcards more, and especially use them more when I have to prepare for a test. I would not tell myself that the math course was easier than I expected, because I would most likely treat it as such and be more lazy about the homework assignments.
Make sure to keep track of all assignments and tests in some sort of planner to prevent myself from forgetting about them.
I would say to not procrastinate on the assignments because doing them all at once doesn't help you learn the material as well and to use the flashcards because they're very helpful.
If I had a friend who was just starting to take the course, I would tell them to have good time management within the class. This means finishing the homework assignments earlier in the week and maybe preparing for the quiz later on. But I did find it very helpful to jump right into the quiz after the homework. Also utilize the flash cards as they are very helpful to grasp any topics that you are struggling with.
I would say to make sure to make use of the flashcards since you can practice all of the concepts as much as you need until you have a solid grasp on the material.
If I were to go back in time I would tell myself and future students to focus and come to class, it’s a great way to be a part of the most engaging math class and to learn while having as much fun as you can in school.
I would tell myself to do the homework’s early and get a 90 at least. I’d tell the student taking the course use the flash cards for more understanding and to stay on top of their work.
If I could travel back in time to give my past-self advice I would say that having the due dates for all the eHW's, quizzes, and exams is crucial to making sure you're on track for everything. I would also say try to finish the assignments a day or two before they are due just in case you need to ask the professor any questions about the material.
If I could go back in time I would tell my past self not to procrastinate when doing homework and make sure to stay on top of all the deadlines of eHW because it will honestly make everything easier. I would also add to stay on top of time management and use the practice materials as much as possible.
