Weekly Report on Lab Work

Each week you are to spend at least one hour in the language lab. The following Monday, you are to hand in a report describing or explaining what you did as your lab work during the preceding week.

The report should:

• Be a full paragraph or more, four sentences or 40 words at the very minimum. You are welcome to make it longer.
• Deal with lab-type activities such as listening to Spanish audio tapes, watching Spanish videos or TV programs, doing Spanish computer activities, etc.  Note that these “lab activities” can in fact be done at home, but that doing written exercises in your textbook and activities manual do not count as lab work. Explain exactly what you did in these lab activities and any reactions, for example: what was involved in the activities or what they were about, what you learned, why you did or did not find them helpful or interesting. Some items that do not constitute lab-type activities are the written assignments in the workbooks (as opposed to exercises which involve listening to tapes or CD's), and regularly assigned homework (even if they involve listening to tapes or CD's).
• Be written in Spanish.  Normally this will be in past tenses, typically the preterit to list your actions.
