Fernando de
Herrera Fernando de Herrera was a native of Seville, where, on taking orders he was attached to the church of San Andrés. His love poems celebrate a famous platonic love-affair with the countess of Gelves the mother of the patron of Baltasar de Alcázar. In 1580, he published the poems of Garcilasso de la Vega; in 1582 he published his poems, Algunas Obras; his Live of Sir Thomas More was published in 1592. |
