1. What is a wetland and what are the functions of wetlands? (Hint list and explain how wetlands perform the function) (25 points)

2. Based on the literature you've read, how are geologic maps useful in the constructing of wetlands and what would be an optimal location for a human made wetland based on your geologic map? (Must provide two references from your readings) (20 points)

3. Discuss the process of infiltration. Use hydrologic processes (porosity, permeability, water table, etc.) to explain the role that ground water plays in wetland formation and maintenance. (provide minimum of two references) (25 points)

4. Explain how a glacier can change the terrain of the area it goes through, and use sketches to illustrate your point. (15 points)

5. What are some characteristics (list at least four of each, along with their features/definition) of the two types of glaciated terrain?(15 points)

6. Based on your reading, how are the wetlands in Northeast Indiana affected by glaciation and how are they affected by groundwater?(15 points)

7. What have you done to impair any wetlands in your locality?(15 points)
