John Fishell

John Fishell wears many hats.  As a music recording engineer/producer his most recent credits include jazz artists David Liebman, Joe Lovano, and Ravi Coltrane and Guillermo McGill, as well as singer/songwriter Ryan M. Brewer.  In 2004, his work on Liebman’s “Beyond the Line” was grammy nominated for best instrumental arrangement.  In the rock genre, where John shines, his credits include Warner artists Earth-to-Andy and Pat McGee Band among many others.  As a writer, John’s articles have appeared in Recording magazine.  John holds a Master’s Degree in Music Composition from James Madison University.  Lastly, as an educator, John has held Music Technology faculty positions with James Madison University, Middle Tennessee State University, University of Colorado - Denver, American University, Ball State University, and is now the Director of Music Technology at Indiana University / Purdue University in Fort Wayne.
