Group and Individual Assessment and Grading
The group and individual assessment process is normally designed by the faculty. Group members often are asked to “grade” each member separately for their contributions. Some faculty do restrict students from giving members the same points or use a “mock” bonus system. For example, students are told to pretend that their group will be awarded a bonus of $10,000. Each member is to recommend the number of dollars that each student will receive. No two students can be given the same amount.
