The 56th Midwestern Graph Theory Conference

Welcome

On October 3rd and 4th, 2014, the Department of Mathematical Sciences at IPFW will be hosting the 56th Midwestern Graph Theory Conference. This is part of the celebration of 50 years of IPFW, as well as honouring the 75th birthday of our own Lowell Beineke.

The organizing committee consists of Jay Bagga (Ball State University, the convenor for the MIGHTY conference series), Marc Lipman, Robert (Chip) Vandell, and Matt Walsh. We are pleased to announce that Robin Wilson will give the Harary Lecture.

For information about registration visit the Registration page; to see who's already registered, please visit the Participants page. Information about accommodations can be found on our Travel page. A rough Schedule is available, with more information to follow. Feel free to Contact us with any questions you might have about the event.

News

October 2nd, 2014: It's almost upon us! There's some road construction happening near IPFW campus at the moment; watch the Travel page for information and updates.

September 29th, 2014: The schedule for Saturday is now up!

September 27th, 2014: A little more details about Robin Wilson's talks: the Friday talk to our math club starts at 3:30, and we've also posted the abstract for the Harary lecture. Look for the schedule in the next 2-3 days.

September 23rd, 2014: Looks like we're going into triple sessions after all! The list of attendees is now up to date again, with all 34 (!) abstracts for contributed talks linked. If you're hoping to come to the banquet and haven't let us know, then please do so soon; we need to get numbers off to the caterers quite soon. Finally, expect to see a rough schedule up by the end of the week.

September 18th, 2014: As of today we have received 32 contributed talks, which is as many as we can accommodate without going to triple sessions. As such, abstract submissions are now closed.

September 16th, 2014: We've added another option for accommodation, that being booking a room in the IPFW student housing complex. These are two-bedroom apartments, so if you're travelling in even numbers and/or are looking for a bargain this could be of particular interest.

September 12th, 2014: Updated the current list of participants. We've still got room for talks on Saturday, so please send your abstracts in!

September 5th, 2014: Updated information about the banquet (specifically, the cost of tickets and how to prepay) and local hotels.

July 31st, 2014: The website is now up! Or at least a shall of a website; we'll be adding more and more details as we go. If there's anything that you would like to see here, please do feel free to let us know.
