  * the 1949-1950 IHSAA Yearbook has an error in that Tom Walton of LaPorte is both  
  50th and 104th in the results which is impossible because only one Tom Walton  
  attended LaPorte at that time: the 50th place runner was likely Walton because  
  the LaPorte yearbook indicates he was named the team MVP for that year and  
  the most likely candidate for the runner in 104th is Dirk Trusty who ran on the  
  team that qualified for state during the tournament, yet is missing from the  
  state results; Trusty will be listed as 104th place until proven otherwise
