1946 IHSAA BOYS STATE XC MEET
Oct. 26 - South Grove Golf Course, Indpls. - 2.0 Miles

Meet was by open invitation and, according to the 1946-47 IHSAA Yearbook, "59 schools entered full
teams and 9 schools entered one or more boys. A total of 477 boys made up othe entry list. The large
number of entries caused IHSAA officials to change the plans of the meet (which was) conduted in two
races with co-champions being declared and duplicate awards presented to the winners of each race."
(note: the Indianapolis Star reported different numbers with "58 full six-man teams entered and some
375 boys eligible to partipate"). Only the top 5 individuals and 21 teams in each race are reported
in the yearbook; the indianapolis Star also reported the scoring runners for the team champions.
