| Note: in 1904, senior Grant Johnston of Indpls. Manul failed to clear 5' 04 and tied for | ||||||||
| second, but then cleared 5' 05 in a jump off to award the second place medal; although | ||||||||
| an inch higher than Miller's winning height, Johnston's mark was not considered a re- | ||||||||
| cord because it was during a jump off. Likewise, in 1910, senior Emil Haseman of Linton | ||||||||
| tied for third at an unknown height. In a jump off to award the third place medale, he | ||||||||
| the same height as the Ellis' record jump that won the state title. However, beecause | ||||||||
| Haseman's mark was during a jump off, it was not considered a tie for the record. In | ||||||||
| 1905, both DeWeese and McLaughlin and were awarded first place medals. Likewise, | ||||||||
| both Baldwin and Jones were awarded first place medals in 1932. However, Jones | ||||||||
| was awarded the first place medal in 1980 based on fewer misses. | ||||||||
