Note: in 1972, junior John Mitchell of Ft. Wayne Wayne won the finals in 19.1,
but it was wind-aided and not eligible as a meet record. In 1981, Birchfield's
  36.3 was hand-timed. Although intrinsically inferior to his auto-timed 36.53
  in 1980, the IHSAA recognized the 36.3 as a meet record.
